The Various Countries - A Rant About Country Music
It's no secret that over the past two decades, country music has struggled with its identity, more than any other kind in the industry. At this stage, no one can claim to be a fan of country music, without being questioned what kind of country fan? The answers are seemingly endless, I broke into several main categories (but really, there are many other May). Pop Country: This category can really be regarded as the country of Nashville. It is likely that houses about 90% of music on the spot. I often find people who do not want to admit that the conversation that the fans are in this category. They like to talk about how they love Willie Nelson and mouth the words of Merle Haggard songs, but it is clear that his forgery. Then, alone in their cars and enjoy driving on the roads of mine Shania Twain on the radio and sing together at the top of their lungs. Let me say, there is nothing wrong with it as you like. Nashville labels take a lot of talent, often attractive singers who performed with a Big Band. They also have some of the best songwriters and the industry working for them. One criticism that may have against this category? In recent years there has been a kind of rebellion against the music of Nashville musicians in both the rebels in Texas and sub-categories (see below) with songs booing Nashville and praised the old days. Often, gaining in popularity and became so popular that the country is a major contract with a company in Nashville, and for any reason, and everyone is completely comfortable with this phenomenon. That is what I refer to Pat Green as a syndrome. Rebel / Rock country is very liberal people that you usually find in this category. These artists just do what they want to do and, therefore, not many of them, or at least not many of them to remain popular for their first clash takes off. They are usually independent and like to go to all. A good example now at the heart of the attention is Gretchen Wilson. Those who have not quite reached their level of popularity, but for some time include Ray Wylie Hubbard and Todd Snider. Sometimes, children in the class get some of your rebel Ness incorporation of rock in his music. Good examples of this are Robert Earl Keen and James McMurty (I recommend two of them). Texas Country: This category was something of a cult status of music, spanning the entire United States. (Note, this past month, there was a huge Texas three days in the Colorado Music Festival). It began with the popularity of the likes of Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker and Gary P. Nunn. That sent him off in recent years has been the popularity of Robert Earl Keen, Cory Morrow, Pat Green and Jack Ingram. Performs well in the fraternity house Lone Star State. While the guys mentioned above, has taken off in another direction, new artists like Max figures Ling, Mark David Mandt, and Ed Burleson began to take its place. If you should see the development, it is easy to see that the music industry in Texas is growing so fast that it will probably be as great as for Nashville. Old Country If you can sing the words of three or more Willie Nelson, George Jones, Johnny Cash and songs in. Please, if you can sing with Patsy Cline, Charlie Rich and Hank Williams, if you Please take a seat. If crooners all night with Bob Wills please let me a beer, I'm glad we met. Welcome to the old country category, unfortunately a number of people who are boring. Real Old Country Most people in this category for how Yodel. They went to see someone who has probably played the bones, they do not know how to play. People in this category are related to each other as people and realize that the roots of the country comes from popular music. This category needs to be able to enjoy sitting in a porch sipping iced tea in the middle of summer, while playing some old streets of Laredo in an old Gibson. Fall in the camp banjo four players also helps. If you're like me you probably have your favorite category, and then, like some things about each. There is no real possibility to define country music, and with it a changing industry-probably never will be. One thing that does not change, but whatever the category, you can always dust their boots and take almost all countries to Dancehall song with you.
